On March 11, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a lawsuit demanding that Meta be recognized as an “extremist organization.” The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the company’s employees for public calls for extremist activities and assistance in terrorist activities (280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
