Video hosting YouTube has removed the main and backup channels “Soloviev Live”. This was announced on the Telegram channel on Tuesday by the journalist and author of this project, Vladimir Solovyov.
“YouTube has removed the main and backup channels of the Solovyov Live project,” Solovyov wrote.
“In 5 hours, we will go live on Solovyov Live. We will go out despite the war that YouTube and Google have announced to the project. We will post a link to the YouTube broadcast immediately before the broadcast,” the journalist also wrote.
According to the channel, its subscribers were 1 million at the end of February.
“Soloviev Live” is the author’s political program of the journalist and presenter Vladimir Solovyov. On Saturday live, he broadcasts news and reflections, direct broadcasts of correspondents, and discussions of the agenda with experts.
The host called these decisions a “declaration of war” and called for the closure of YouTube in Russia. At the same time, he stated that he would continue to make his show on Western video hosting, posting a link to the broadcast on his social networks immediately before the broadcast.
Earlier, YouTube removed several channels belonging to the Russian information network Russia Today. At the end of February, its leader Margarita Simonyan, like Vladimir Solovyov, fell under EU sanctions due to Russia’s recognition of the independence of the so-called Donetsk and Lugansk “people’s republics”.
