Microsoft releases the Surface Audio appCoinciding with the recent announcement of Microsoft’s new headphone offering, Redmond’s have just made a new application available to users through which you can manage all the sound features with a direct and very intuitive interface.
The Surface Audio app to manage Surface headphones
A few days ago, Microsoft introduced the rumored Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3, but they were not the only devices. In that same online event, the North American company presented the Surface Earbuds and the Surface Headphones 2, a new generation of headphones that you are going to be able to get much more out of thanks to a new application.
Accompanying these new electronic devices, Microsoft has just launched the application called Surface Audio that will allow us to control different characteristics of these new products and the entire line of headphones from the North American company. This application, in addition to facilitating us to install software updates, allows us to check battery details, change sound levels, vary the language settings, and manage all the devices that we have connected.
A very interesting feature is that we are offered to configure the equalizer settings, also choose our favorite genre or adjust each of the bass, treble, and other aspects of sound, and all manually under a neat and fairly clean user interface. Also, if you’ve touched something you shouldn’t, you can always reset each of the headphones to their default values.
You could say that this Surface Audio App is in line with those of other wireless headphones such as Google’s Pixel Buds or Samsung’s Galaxy Buds, which also have dedicated applications. This does not happen with Apple AirPods since the controls are directly integrated into the iOS operating system. The Surface Audio application is available for both Android, iOS, and Windows 10 devices.
