How to make a snowman
Inflate two balloons to different sizes: one smaller than the head and the other a little larger than the body. Trim strips about 4 cm wide from Das plaster bands. Cover the surface of the two balloons by wetting the strips in water and placing them one next to the other, smoothing with the fingertips.
To make it look even and strong, make the first layer with the bands placed in one direction and a second layer in the opposite direction. Leave a small hole uncovered on top of the balloon. Wait about 24 hours until it has dried.
Once the balls are well dried, mount the snowman: with the whitetail, Giotto Vinilik sticks the smallest ball on the largest ball.
The hole that you have left uncovered let it down: it will serve to make the doll more stable.
Now you can start painting with Giotto’s school paintballs and the brush of number 2. To make the face, with the color black make two eyes, eyebrows and a good smile. With the pink mixed with a little while you can make the cheeks and, finally, with the white paint the pupils. For the body, you can make two large green buttons and outline them with the color black.
To make the nose you can take a small portion of dough to model Das Junior orange and make a small cone. Stick it with a little water on the face of the doll.
Once you have the decorated doll, give it a coat of Giotto Varnish with the Giotto brush of the 400 series number 7, to protect your work in the long term and give it a brighter effect.
While the varnish dries, you can make the scarf. Cut a piece of red felt 4.5 cm x 45 cm. With the Giotto Decor Textile black marker, it paints lines vertically and then horizontally. You will have an original squared scarf.
Cut some fringes at the ends of the scarf to make it funnier. Then glue it with the whitetail Giotto Vinilik around the doll’s neck.
To make the hat you will need a black Canson card. With the pencil, the ruler and the compass, make the three pieces of the hat. To make the wing, make a circle of 14 cm in diameter and another circle within 9 cm in diameter. For the cup make a strip 6 cm wide: and of these 6 cm mark, a line 1 cm above and another line to 1 cm also below to make eyelashes. And finally, for the crown, there is a circle of 9 cm in diameter.
Cut out the three pieces. In the part of the wingnuts on the outside and the inner circle. In the piece of the cup cut the strip and make small cuts to the line both above and below, and then bend them to make the eyelashes. Glue the three pieces with the tail Giotto Vinik.
You can decorate it with Giotto Decor Materials multi-surface marker pens. We have made vertical lines with the color white throughout the entire glass. Then stick it on the doll’s head.
Now you have this nice snowman ready to decorate some corner of the house this Christmas!
