A federal judge on Tuesday ordered porn actress Stormy Daniels to pay $ 293,000 to President Donald Trump to cover the expenses of his legal team in connection with the defamation lawsuit filed by her and that was rejected by the Justice.

Charles Harder, the chief lawyer of the president, in this case, reported the decision of Judge S. James Otero of California and explained that the amount is divided into $ 292,000 corresponding to the payment of legal services hired by Trump for his defense and another 1,000 dollars as a penalty.

According to the lawyer, the money represents 75% of the resources that the President has allocated to defend against the defamation lawsuit filed by the actress, while the $ 1,000 penalty is due to the magistrate found that the prosecution “had no legal basis

“The order of the court, together with the previous decision to reject Stormy Daniels’ defamation case against the President, constitute a total victory for the President, and a total defeat for Stormy Daniels in this case,” said Harder.

The costs of the legal services that Trump hired to defend themselves amounted to between 1,100 and 1,600 dollars per hour, something that the magistrate considered “reasonable”, given the “incredible qualifications” of the legal team.

The adult film actress filed the injunction because Trump claimed that Daniels was lying when he said that he had received threats to keep silence about a supposed relationship that both maintained a decade ago.

Daniels maintains that he had sex with Trump in 2006, something the White House denies and that he received $ 130,000 from Trump exhusband Michael Cohen in October 2016 in exchange for his silence.

Earlier this year, the actress filed a lawsuit against the president and Cohen with the aim of annulling the non-disclosure agreement that she signed and, when the president accused her on Twitter of lying, filed a second complaint about defamation, which is the one that was rejected.

On the first demand, there has still not been a resolution.
