Game of Thrones 8th Season Trailer: HBO launches the first official trailer of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones. The advance, titled Dragonstone, does not contain images of the new chapters but shows how the expected battle between ice and fire will wipe out everything. The last batch of episodes of fiction, based on the books of George RR Martin, will arrive in April 2019.
The advance starts with a halo of ice crossing the map of Westeros and freezing in its wake the figure of a wolf, emblem of Stark House, and a dragon, the sign of the Targaryen. On the other hand, the fire bursts to the other side of the map, burning the figure of a lion, emblem of the House Lannister.
The teaser, of less than a minute, announces that the last installment will be released in April, but does not contain footage of the new episodes or advance any details about the plot, or the characters.
The eighth season will give Cersei, Daenerys, Tyrion, Jon Snow, Arya and company an end expected for years by the fans. But this will not be the end of Westeros, as HBO has given the green light to a prequel that will take place thousands of years before the events in the original version and will star Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse.
