“With all our pride: thanks for helping the teaser of the trailer for The Lion King to become Disney’s most-watched debut trailer, by breaking the record with 224.6 million views worldwide. 24 hours! “, Says the tweet. As was the case with the reissue of The Jungle Book, Disney continues to develop its strategy of updating and reinventing its classics to attract a younger audience and those nostalgic who already enjoyed the original versions at its premiere.
The remake of the 1994 animated classic is directed by Jon Favreau and, in its English version, features the voices of Donald Glover, Beyoncé, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and James Earl Jones. The Lion King will be released in July of next year.
