Two dead and one wounded in shooting in New York. When the officers arrived at the residence they heard about ten shots after which they requested reinforcements, as well as medical emergency service
One woman and one man were murdered and another man, who has been identified as an off-duty police officer, was seriously injured in an incident that occurred on Friday in the New York district of Queens.
According to the police, a call was received from a woman who told 911, the emergency number of the city: “my boyfriend shot me”.
Although the woman did not talk anymore, the phone was taken down and 911 operators could hear a loud noise in the place, according to the police.
When the officers arrived at about seven in the morning, local time, at the residence, an apartment on a second level, they heard about ten shots, after which they asked for reinforcements as well as an emergency medical service.
Upon entering they found a woman, aged 31, who presumably made the call, and a 47-year-old man, killed with a bullet in the head.
The third man, aged 43, turned out to be a Yonkers policeman off duty, with bullet wounds to his shoulder and back that were presumed to have been stabbed. It is expected to survive.
Police believe that one of the men was the ex-boyfriend of the victim and the other his boyfriend, but they are preliminary data and await the results of the investigation, according to the chief of detectives, Dermot Shea.
