A Father Helps His Son Escape Authorities in New Jersey: Police in New Jersey today reported that a dangerous prisoner, who escaped two days ago and was only wearing underwear, was finally captured in Baltimore, where he awaits his extradition.
David D. Riley, 34, escaped from the custody of corrections officers when he was transported on Friday to a court and at that time wore a T-shirt but did not wear trousers and according to the police, was carrying a knife at that time.
The authorities immediately issued an alert to the public warning that Riley was dangerous.
His father, David Carty, was arrested at a motel and charged with taking him to Baltimore and buying him bus tickets to Atlanta, says the NJ.com portal.
Carty, 58, faces charges for helping him escape and interfere with the arrest.
It was not reported why Riley was taken to a court when he escaped or what he will face now, but in 2010 he was sentenced to six years in prison for kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault.
