Glastonbury Festival 2018: takes place over five days from June 22 to 26 June at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset. Farmer and festival supremo Michael Eavis first sanctioned a festival at Worthy Farm in 1970. The first act to ever to play at Glastonbury was the group Stackridge.
Glastonbury Festival is like no other music festival on earth. For a start, it is far bigger with coming up to 100 stages – it changes every year: how do you define a “stage” anyway? – and a festival site over 1000 hectares (2470 acres) large. It is recognised as the largest green field temporary performance space on earth. Glastonbury Festival 2018 has a licensed capacity of 177,000.
Glastonbury Festival is also one of the most popular festivals on earth. Glasto tickets usually sell out within hours of going on sale, despite a complicated registration system designed to counter touts and forgers. Glastonbury Festival 2018 tickets
